We started LowMOQ after spending months trying to get any overseas factory to
quote a sub-500-piece run for a small brand. Every reply was the same: come
back when you can buy more. Most independent brands don't have a warehouse —
they have 50 customers, a launch, a uniform run, a holiday gift list. We built
the third option: store-quality construction at small-batch quantities, sized for
actual demand instead of factory comfort.

Minimums that lock you out
Most overseas factories quote 500–1,000 pieces per style, per color, before
they'll even take the call. That's a warehouse problem dressed up as an
opportunity. We start lower — small enough to test a drop, big enough to make
proper private-labeling worth doing. Minimums are listed per SKU, before you
commit to anything.
The factory's name on your product
Whose brand the customer sees first matters. A printed neck mark slapped over
a stock-blank factory tag is covering a problem, not solving one — the
cost-center upstream is still the first thing inside the collar. Real
private-label means the factory tag is gone, replaced by yours: printed or
sewn, plus a compliant care label that handles fiber and origin in your
brand's voice. The brand on the inside has to match the brand on the outside
or the whole product reads as borrowed.
The "bulk tee" aesthetic
You can spot a print-shop run from twelve feet away — thin midweight blank,
generic transfer print, plastic hangtag. Premium retail looks different
because the construction is different: heavier knit, the right decoration for
the artwork, finishing details that match the brand's voice. We pair method to
fabric — embroidery for tactile crests, screen print for high-volume colorways,
DTF for photographic prints, puff for fleece edges, woven patches for badges.
Each choice serves the design, not the spreadsheet.
What "premium" actually means here
Construction the small brands you respect already use.
"Premium" gets thrown around in custom merch because it sells. We try to earn it
with the construction. Summer tees at 130–180 gsm. Year-round tees at 180–220 gsm.
Heavyweight long-tees at 270 gsm. Hoodies from 300 gsm mid-fleece up to 445 gsm
for the brands building outerwear-grade pieces. Mercerized cotton polos. Loop
terry crewnecks. Every SKU on the catalog lists its fabric, weight, and minimum
so you can pick by feel and intent, not by hope.
The finishing matches: branded neck label of your choice (printed mark, sewn woven
label, or satin loop), compliant care/side label, private-label poly bag with your
logo on every single piece. The outer shipping carton stays plain — we don't
pretend otherwise — but every piece a customer unboxes is yours from the moment
they touch it. Same construction the small premium brands you'd compare yourself
to already use; sized for a 40-piece run, not a 4,000-piece one.
