Branded neck labels
Branded neck labels for custom apparel — printed, woven, loop.
Three neck-label options plus a matching care/side label, included on every LowMOQ private-label run. The factory tag never goes out the door — what the buyer sees when they put the garment on is your brand, your sizing system, your wash code.
Private-label hoodies with a branded neck label, not someone else's tag
The neck label is the most-handled piece of brand surface in apparel. The buyer reads it when they pull the garment off the shelf, when they put it on for the first time, when they wash it, and every time they reach back to pull a hood up. A factory neck tag in a brand drop reads as a budget shortcut — "this is someone else's blank with our logo on top." A branded neck label closes that gap.
Three options below. The right one for your run depends on the fabric, the price target, and the brand's visual language. We can recommend in the quote.
Option 1 · Printed neck mark
Direct print on the inside back-neck of the garment, replacing the factory tag. Soft-hand water-based ink, sized to the neckline of the blank. Most economical of the three options and gives the cleanest "no tag at all" feel against the skin.
- Best for: tees, tank tops, lightweight crewnecks where a sewn label would feel intrusive.
- Lead time impact: none — runs in parallel with exterior decoration.
- Visual: matte ink directly on fabric. Brand name, size, fiber/care can all be included.
Option 2 · Sewn woven label
A separate woven fabric label sewn into the back neck seam. Damask weave for fine detail, satin or cotton for softer hand. The traditional retail-grade neck treatment — what you find in a department-store brand piece.
- Best for: hoodies, jackets, polos, premium tees, anywhere the brand wants the goods to read as retail product.
- Lead time impact: woven labels need 7–10 days to produce before they reach the sewing line — usually still inside the standard 3–5 week production window.
- Visual: woven brand wordmark, optional size and origin lines, can include hangtag-style folded edges.
Option 3 · Satin loop label
A folded satin label sewn so it loops out from the neck seam, visible from the outside when the garment is hung or worn with the hood down. The streetwear neck treatment — a loop-out tag in the classic streetwear style, but with your brand on it.
- Best for: hoodies, crewnecks, joggers, streetwear-coded brand drops where the neck mark should be visible from the outside.
- Lead time impact: similar to woven — 7–10 days for label production.
- Visual: printed wordmark on satin, folded so the brand reads on both sides of the loop.
Care / side label — the compliance layer that doesn't have to look bad
Every garment ships with a care/side label that handles the functional stuff: fiber composition, country of origin, wash and dry instructions, size. Most factory care labels are generic, scratchy, and itchy. We use a soft-hand printed satin or sewn cotton label, with the layout designed in the brand's visual language — same typeface as the neck label, same spacing system, same restraint. The care information gets handled and the brand stays intact.
Common questions
Do I need to provide artwork for the neck label?
Yes — at minimum, a vector or high-res raster of your wordmark. The label layout is built around it. We handle production-side prep (sizing for the label format, separating colors for woven labels, preparing the file for the factory).
Is the neck label included in the per-piece price or extra?
Included by default — it's part of the private-label finish. The choice between printed neck mark, sewn woven label, or satin loop label affects the per-piece cost slightly (woven and satin labels add a small per-piece surcharge for the label production and sewing), but it's bundled into the quote rather than charged as a separate line.
Can I use different neck label types on different SKUs in the same order?
Yes. A common pattern: printed neck marks on tees and tanks, sewn woven labels on polos and crewnecks, satin loop labels on hoodies and joggers. We'll quote it as one job and produce the labels in parallel.
Do you handle the legal compliance lines (fiber, origin, care)?
Yes — the care/side label includes everything required by the destination country's textile regulations. We pull the fiber and origin information from the blank's specification sheet and add the care symbols based on the fabric. You provide the brand artwork; we handle the compliance text.
